Memorandum
TO: Prospective Reciprocity Applicant
FROM: Keith E. Warren
Executive Secretary
SUBJECT: Reciprocity with Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana,
Mississippi, North Carolina,
South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia
In order to receive an Alabama Electrical Contractors
license through reciprocity, you must comply with the
following:
1. A complete notarized application (Completed Business
Entity Job List and Completed Employment Affidavits),
notarized signature, photograph attached and returned to the
Board office. Please be advised that the job list and
employment affidavits must be completed and reflect four (4)
years or 8000 hours showing supervised electrical
construction activities and the installing of electrical
components.
2. One cashier's check or money order in the amount of
$365.00 made payable to the Alabama Electrical Contractors
Board.
3. Copy of license issued by the state licensing board
showing you have an electrical contractors license in the
category in which you are applying.
4. A letter from the state licensing board verifying your
license and stating that you are in good standing with no
reprimands past or pending passed, an examination receiving
a grade of 70 or more and said license is an
unlimited/unrestricted license.
You will be notified within 14 days whether or not your
application has been approved.
Please note that State law requires that any electrical
contractor performing a job over $50,000 must have a
subcontractors license issued by the General Contractors
